He was the husband of the late Santa Alves de Souza. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a son of the late Alvaro V. Chargas and Francisca N. Christouam.
He is survived by a daughter, Veronica A. Burgo and her husband, Eduardo of Pawtucket, a grandchild, Gabriel Burgo, and nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 30th from 10:00am until noon followed by a service at noon in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence.
